Borgman Capital Announces Promotion of Brent Adam to Managing Director and Partner, Matthew Pikus to Senior Associate

 

MILWAUKEE – (APRIL 4, 2023) – Milwaukee private equity firm Borgman Capital today announced the promotion of Brent Adam to managing director and partner, and Matthew Pikus to senior associate. The promotions were effective January 1, 2023.

Adam joined Borgman Capital in May 2020 as chief financial officer and has been primarily responsible for partnering with the firm’s portfolio companies and their finance teams. He has also been involved in the financing and structuring of new deals. As managing director and partner, Adam will add deal origination and firm operations to his responsibilities. Adam received both a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in accounting, and Master of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a certified public accountant and in 2022 was named a Notable CFO by BizTimes Milwaukee. He has nearly 20 years of finance and accounting experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, including more than a decade with Ernst and Young.

Pikus joined Borgman Capital as an associate in July 2021. Since then he has supported the team in completing four acquisitions. In his new role, Pikus will be responsible for new investment analysis, financial modeling, transaction due diligence and portfolio company support and analysis. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Saint Louis University. Prior to joining Borgman Capital, Pikus worked with Wells Fargo’s middle market banking team.
