Sequoya Borgman, Managing Director
Mr. Borgman is the founder and Managing Director of Borgman Capital LLC. Mr. Borgman has over 18
years of mergers and acquisitions structuring, planning, and due diligence experience. Prior to founding
Borgman Capital LLC, Mr. Borgman was a partner and practice leader for RSM US LLP, a large multi-
national public accounting firm. Much of his practice consisted of private equity firms or their portfolio
companies. He has significant experience consulting on complex transactions for both large public and
large and small private companies, many with international operations. He has been involved in hundreds
of merger, acquisition, restructuring, and financing transactions over his career.
Mr. Borgman holds both Masters and Bachelor Degrees in accounting from East Carolina University. He
is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Wisconsin, Illinois, and North Carolina. He is also involved in
leadership positions with a variety of non-profit and professional organizations.
David Bartelme, Managing Director
David Bartelme is a Managing Director of Borgman Capital LLC. Mr. Bartelme has six
years of M&A experience focused on valuation, strategy, deal structure, and coordination.
Mr. Bartelme started his career as a chemical engineer in the chemicals and oil/gas
industries where he spent more than a decade leading engineering, operations, and
Mr. Bartelme holds degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Washington and
a MBA from the University of Alberta.
Michael Pepke, Managing Director
Michael Pepke is a Managing Director of Borgman Capital LLC. Mr. Pepke is also a
shareholder at the law firm, Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, s.c. Mike’s extensive experience allows him to
contribute practical, real-world advice to clients regarding complex legal and business matters. Mr.
Pepke provided legal counsel to a wide range of companies involved in various industries; he served as
general counsel to privately-owned, middle- market companies with a focus on acquisitions and
succession planning. At Borgman Capital, Mr. Pepke will focus on expanding the firm’s deal flow and
managing investment strategies.
Mr. Pepke holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.A. from the University of
Michigan, and a J.D. from Cornell University Law School.
Rick Ploeckelmann, Operating Partner
Prior to joining Borgman Capital, Rick Ploeckelmann invested nearly 20 years in the construction and brownfield operations markets as a partner and global executive with MSI, a specialty contractor delivering turnkey field services to support operational reliability, asset management, and process safety. Through building world class teams to executing and delivering projects, Rick created industry leading partnerships in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, food & beverage, and commercial construction industries. Rick has started-up, managed, and grown international business operations in Canada, Qatar, The UAE, Mexico, Brazil, and Singapore. He led the strategic acquisition andnintegration of a best-in-class specialty engineering firm in Texas, which diversified service offerings and opened new revenue channels.
Rick holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and a MBA from the
University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s Lubar School of Business with a focus in Operations. Outside of professional pursuits, Rick enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, hiking, cooking, and travel. He and his wife Brit live in Wauwatosa, WI.
Brent Adam, Operating Partner
An expert in financial due diligence, Brent has 17 years of finance/accounting experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Brent started his career with Ernst & Young, where he spent 11 years in the mergers and acquisitions group after spending his first 3 years as an auditor. While working in M&A, Brent assisted both corporate and private equity clients on around 100 transactions. Brent focused on companies in the healthcare industry and worked with numerous Fortune 100 companies, advising on deals ranging from $1 million to over $6 billion in enterprise value.
Brent received both his master's of accountancy and bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Brent is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Brent serves on the board of directors of Olympus Group and is the Managing Member of the Adam Group LLC, an investment company.
Alex Reinhart, Associate
Alex Reinhart is an Associate of Borgman Capital LLC. Prior to working at Borgman Capital LLC, Mr. Reinhart worked for several years in Capital Markets for Santander Consumer USA, a Texas-based consumer finance company. Mr. Reinhart started his career working for Barclays Capital where he spent seven years working as a Risk Management Analyst and in Prime Services.
Mr. Reinhart holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a master’s degree in business from the University of Texas.
Megan Brobson, Analyst
Megan Brobson is an Analyst at Borgman Capital LLC. Prior to working at Borgman Capital LLC, Ms. Brobson spent six years working in client finance at subsidiaries of two global, public companies – WPP PLC and Publicis Group S.A.. Ms. Brobson focused primarily on forecasting and financial analysis, driving growth and profitability across her client businesses, and improving internal agency-wide operational processes.
Ms. Brobson holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in finance and marketing.
Katie Koehler, Investor Relations and Marketing Associate
Katie Koehler is the Investor Relations and Marketing Associate of Borgman Capital LLC. Ms. Koehler has experience in finance and worked as an intern in the Corporate Controller’s Group at Rockwell Automation located in the greater Milwaukee area. Ms. Koehler has background in pension planning as well as the reconcilement of statements. Her marketing background includes digital marketing management as well as marketing coordination, communication, and branding.
Ms. Koehler holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Marquette University.
